This an amazing piece of photography showing great sills and technique of the artist. The timing is perfect; sunset, sea and dolphin all in one, captured in an extremely symbolic manner.
The sky to sea ratio has been matched beautifully and the water on the right side with the glare matches perfectly as though its reflecting the motion of the dolphin.
The only minus I could see it that the sky could have had a few clouds visible to give it a sort of texture that showing up like a simple gradient. The dolphin could also have been highlighted a bit more.
Medium-format animal photography is something you don't get to see every day Kudos... perfect timing, and I'm astonished how 1/500s were enough to freeze the drops in place... The composition is amazing, especially how the wave in the lower right frames the picture. The crop is also very nicely chosen, the rotation is a really good idea and adds to the dynamic overall impression of the photo. Awesome job!
Breathtaking, I do feel the happiness of that dolphin and welcoming you all. The lighting is great and the stretch of water splashing is outstanding. This looks very nice maybe there the dolphin is parallel with the horizon level and there is depth of field resulting from sea waves. The peep of the sun cropped perfectly, as if there is pretty much quest on the sea laid before eyes.
While this is a pretty piece of art, I don't think it's really fair that a photomanipulation is getting a DD in a Photography category. And that the artists doesn't even bother to mention it is a manipulation. Making people believe it's a real photo when it isn't, is not OK =\
